Our age is an age of science. The gifts of science are uncountable. Wherever we cast our eyes,we see the wonders of science. Satellite T. V. channels are worth mentioning among the wonders of modern sciencsSatellite t. v. channels are the means of modern communication.It is a system through which we can see and hear the events that are happening all over the world sitting in our houses.It has made the segregated world united and interrelated. The whole world communities have come closer and smaller through the Satellite Channels. Dish antenna has helped to catch the programmes and receive from various T. V. channels.

There are a lot of  Satellite T. V. channels in the world. Of these B.B.C. Star plus, Star S[orts, CNN, Star Movies, Zee Cinema, ATN, DDI, DD7, NTV, ETV, etc. are mentionable.Satellote channels have removed monotony of watching fixed items of programmes. They have provided people with opportunities of watching diverse programmes on numerous channels. In fact, today we have specilised satellite channels on almost  every interest. 

There are some channels which broadcast only show cinemas. Some channels show games and sports only, some channels show only show  cinemas. Some channels show games and sports only, some channels show only the discoveries and inventions of science and technology and again some channels are dedicated for travelling animal world. Actually, people now have more choices and more freedom about television programmes.Satellite Channels help  us a lot by reporting on climatic conditions of different parts of the world. In this way, we can be aware of storms, cylcones and tidal bores.Satellite TV Channels of other countries help us to learn and develop the latest technologies and systems of making films, dramas etc. 

Thus Satellite Channels are helping to a great extent to enrich our own culture and tradition.Though Satellite  Channels are playing a favourable role, it is also doing harm to our young and new generation. They are showing vulgar and obscene films and causing a harmful effect on the mind, behavior and attitude of our young generations. Our own culture is facing thw threat of cultural aggression of alien culture.But still we can not deny the immense benefits we are getting from Satellite Channels.
